A comprehensive report was recently completed with contributions from a large team of researchers, analysts, and communications professionals. The project was undertaken by the Pew-Knight Initiative, a research program funded jointly by The Pew Charitable Trusts and the John S. And James L. Knight Foundation.

Primary Researchers
Samuel Bestvater served as Senior Data Scientist, while Athena Chapekis worked as a Computational Social Science Analyst. Skyler Seets assisted as a Computational Social Science Assistant, and Sono Shah held the position of Associate Director, Data Labs. Aaron Smith served as Director, Data Labs.
