Police Track Suspect Vehicle and Detain Four Men
Authorities identified a possible suspect vehicle leaving downtown on Interstate 84 shortly after the incident. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled at high speed. Police did not pursue the vehicle on the ground; instead, the Portland Police’s Air Support Unit tracked the car until its occupants stopped near Northeast 58th Avenue and Northeast Flanders Street and ran into the neighborhood.
Officers from multiple precincts, alongside a K9 unit, quickly surrounded the area. Police detained four men as the investigation continued into the morning.
