Penn State will host a series of regional meetings across Pennsylvania this spring, bringing together leaders from government, nonprofits, businesses, and universities. The meetings are intended to shape the direction and goals of Prepare PA, a statewide initiative focused on climate resilience.
Strengthening Pennsylvania’s Climate Network
Four meetings are scheduled between March and April in State College, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and Scranton. Each event will feature a networking reception followed by a presentation on Prepare PA and a facilitated discussion. The State College meeting will begin at 4 p.m. On March 18, while the other locations will start at 5 p.m. On their respective dates: March 25 in Harrisburg, April 1 in Pittsburgh, and April 8 in Scranton.
Prepare PA, led by the Penn State Climate Consortium, aims to equip communities with the knowledge and resources needed to adapt to climate change and environmental uncertainty. The initiative will convene a network of participants, with Penn State providing coordination and administration.
Registration is required by March 6, and those interested in learning more can contact Sarah Potter at [email protected]. Each meeting is expected to host up to 100 attendees.
