SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Zoo is launching ZooBand, a new wearable technology designed to streamline the visitor experience. The all-in-one band offers contactless admission and cashless payment options for zoo members.
Streamlining the Zoo Experience
ZooBand connects directly to a member’s account and is provided free with zoo membership. It allows for purchases of food, beverages, retail items, and souvenirs throughout the park. Members can too use the band to access special perks, bonuses, and exclusive offers.
According to Tim Morrow, President and CEO of San Antonio Zoo, “ZooBand reflects our commitment to continually improving the guest experience.” Morrow also stated the technology aims to make visits more convenient, empower children, and allow families to focus on connecting with wildlife.
Activation and Access
Members can pick up and activate their ZooBand at Guest Services, located inside the park entrance. Prior to activation, membership must be processed through the Member Portal. Further information is available on the San Antonio Zoo’s website.
