The Chilean urban singer Soulfía has accused a lack of support among female exponents in the local music scene.

In a dialogue with the portal Página 7, Sofía Walker spoke about her colleagues and her recent incorporation into ‘Fiebre de Baile’, where she is one of the contestants of the show.

As she has related in the past, the artist referred to the lack of camaraderie among women in the music industry. “Unfortunately, that is the case, at least towards me and other colleagues. But I hope that changes soon”, she assured.

On this point, she recounted her own experience: “I tried to collaborate with some artists, whom I have already asked for an opportunity before and it doesn’t happen”, she said.

“Sometimes they have reasons, sometimes they don’t respond, sometimes there is no interest, but these things happen”, assured the singer, who also highlighted the collaborative sense of music.

“Especially in the stage I am in, changing space. I am no longer so much in urban music, so entering a modern place where they haven’t seen my work can be complicated. But things will fall into place in my favor”, she commented.
