Jokowi Masuk Daftar Tokoh Terkorup OCCRP, Gus Yahya Katakan Struktur kampanye politik

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar Nadhlatul Ulama (PBNU), Yahya Cholil Staquf, meng постепенноанию bahwa daftar tokoh terkorup dunia yang dirilis Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) mengandung struktur kampanye politik. among the names listed is President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo) as one of the most corrupt figures in the world.

OCCRP men &

39;tapkan nama Jokowi bersama dengan nama-nama seisi:

  • President Kenya, William Ruto
  • President Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu
  • Chadak Perdana Menteri Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina
  • Pengusaha India, Gautam Adani

Halsema Pushes for Nationwide Fireworks Ban: Local Bans Ineffective

Halsema Pushes for Swift National Fireworks Ban as Local Bans Proven Ineffective

In the wake of a tumultuous New Year’s Eve marked by numerous incidents and arrests, Dutchürger-Minister Danielle Halsema is urging for a swift and decisive national ban on fireworks. Her push comes as local bans have proven ineffective in curbing the chaos caused by the celebratory explosives.

Fireworks Frenzy

The night welcomed the new year with a bang, but also with a concerning spike in unrest and violence. According to the police, at least 200 people were arrested across the country, with incidents ranging from minor public disorder to serious assaults against emergency services. Several cities, including Rotterdam and Amsterdam, reported particularly ‘troublesome nights.’

Geleen, for instance, witnessed five consecutive nights of unrest leading up to the new year, with incidents including fireworks thrown at police officers and car burnings. The municipality described the situation as ‘intense and unacceptable,’ with multiple reports of violence against aid workers.

Political Pressure for Change

Opposition parties have joined Halsema in calling for a national fireworks ban.FvD leader Thierry Baudet expressed that the current local bans are akin to ‘trying to stop a tank with a pair of chopsticks.’ He emphasized the urgency for a nationwide solution to rein in the fireworks chaos.

While some politicians and experts argue that a complete fireworks ban could deter people from celebrating, others worry that such a measure could drive the festivities underground, leading to even more dangerous behavior.

Safety Concerns

The dangers of fireworks extend beyond public disorder. Every year, hospitals treat dozens of people injured by fireworks, often children. In one such incident this year, a child was seriously injured by a firework that went off in their hand.

Looking Ahead

As the country enters 2025, the debate surrounding a national fireworks ban is set to intensify. With the safety of citizens and the preservation of public order at stake, the government will have to weigh the pros and cons of such a measure carefully. Until then, Dutch revellers may have to find alternative, safer ways to usher in the new year.

Hundreds Gather on Dam to Celebrate Hanukkah

AMSTERDAM—Hundreds of people gathered on the Dam in Amsterdam tonight to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights. The celebration featured the lighting of a large, nine-branched menorah, as well as speeches by prominent figures, including BBB leader Van der Plas.

Van der Plas spoke about the challenging times the Jewish community is facing. "We’re going through difficult times. Difficult than it has been for years," she said. "If we look back through history, we see that the Jewish people have endured many difficult times."

She praised the Jewish community’s resilience, saying, "Despite the challenges we face, despite the divisions in the world, the light of the Jewish community continues to shine."

Van der Plas also reflected on the recent terror attack in Israel, where over 1,200 people were killed and 251 kidnapped by Hamas. "The fear that was there, and is still there, has never gone away," she said. "It has smoldered, perhaps, but with the pogrom on October 7, it has flared up again."

Emile Schrijver, director of the Jewish Cultural Quarter, also spoke, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and sympathy. The event was peaceful, with a significant police presence on the Dam.

Hanukkah, also known as the "Festival of Lights," is celebrated by lighting one additional candle on a menorah each night for eight nights. It commemorates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem during the Maccabean Revolt. This year, the holiday is being celebrated worldwide from Wednesday, December 25, to Thursday, January 2.
