DRONE VOLT: New historic orders in sight

Villepinte, September 25, 2020

DRONE VOLT, expert in on-board artificial intelligence and manufacturer of professional civilian drones, announces the signing of a letter of intent with a European distributor customer for the supply of a minimum of 275 HERCULES 20 SPRAY * drones over the next 3 years.

DRONE VOLT is taking a major step in its history with the signing of this agreement which, based on the list price of the solution, would represent an amount of invoices exceeding 5 million euros.

This letter of intent concludes an exclusive partnership which has enabled the client to develop a unique spraying system for viticulture based on HERCULES 20 SPRAY *. Thus, thanks to a dedicated digital application and the use of specific electronic nozzles, chemical product volumes are reduced by 50%, water consumption by 90% and intervention time by half compared to existing applications.

« This agreement is the result of a two-year collaboration which resulted in the mass production of a single machine and the signing of a very ambitious distribution agreement. Says Olivier GUALDONI, CEO of DRONE VOLT. “The group continues to be part of an environmental protection approach with innovative” zero emission “solutions that would limit the exposure of populations to highly toxic products”.

* The HERCULES 20, a drone developed and produced by DRONE VOLT equipped with 8 electric motors, can carry at least 15 kg of payload.

Wall Street manages to end the week on a high note thanks to tech

The New York Stock Exchange, which had started the hesitant session, managed to end the week in the green for the first time in three weeks on Friday, driven by a return of the big names in tech.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) gained 1.34% to 27,173.96 points. The Nasdaq, with strong technological coloring, advanced 2.26% to 10,913.56 points and the broader S&P 500 index gained 1.60% to 3,298.48 points.

The day before, Wall Street had timidly ended up. The DJIA had advanced 0.20% and the Nasdaq 0.37%.

“The market which had been under pressure for some time was buoyed by the search for bargains on Friday,” said Art Hogan of National Holding Corporation.

The stocks ended “higher, supported by the technology sector which has tempered recent headwinds,” said analysts at Wells Fargo. “But concerns about the resurgence of coronavirus cases”, especially in Europe, “still cloud the market,” they continued.

In addition, the prospects for an agreement between Democrats and Republicans in the United States for a new fiscal stimulus “remain weak”, they warned.

Despite these concerns, the move on Wall Street, confirmed in the second part of the session, also reflected the fact that almost “the whole month of September was down, wiping out many of the excesses” accumulated since the rebound started in March, claimed Adam Sarhan of 50 Park Investment. This analyst believes that the market should continue its positive momentum as it approaches the end of the quarter.

The increase in titles Apple (+ 3.75%), Amazon (+ 2.49%), FaceBook (+ 2.12%), Microsoft (+ 2.28%) and Tesla (+ 5.04%) allowed Nasdaq to end the week with solid gains.

The shares of companies that are on the rise with social distancing have also jumped such as Zoom (teleconference), by 6.78%, or the manufacturer of connected exercise bikes, Peloton (+ 10.35%).

Boeing was boosted (+ 6.85% to 156.05 dollars) by the news of a possible return to service in Europe “by the end of the year” of the Boeing 737 MAX, grounded since March 2019 after two fatal accidents.

The titles of cruise passengers, under water since the onset of the epidemic, raised their heads, helped by recommendations from analysts. Carnival gained 9.7%, Norwegian Cruise Line 13.7% and Royal Caribbean 7.7%.

On the bond market, the 10-year rate on US debt fell to 0.6544%, from 0.6659% Thursday night.

Hesitant during the session, oil ends modestly

Oil prices, which had started slightly down in London, recovered on Thursday but are still influenced by concerns surrounding demand and the resumption of production and exports in Libya.

WTI’s US barrel for November was up 0.95% from Wednesday’s close at $ 40.31 (+38 cents). That of Brent North Sea for delivery in November rose 0.40% to 41.94 dollars against 41.77 dollars the day before (+17 cents). The day before, the two benchmark prices had gained 0.32% and 0.12% respectively following the publication of the state of US stocks by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA), showing a decline in reserves.

Gary Cunningham of Tradition Energy was puzzled by the evolution of crude prices: “We are seeing declining demand figures, excess supply and a stronger dollar. All this should lower the prices but they go up ”. “We have no explanation”, conceded the analyst. Tamas Varga, PVM analyst, once again emphasized “Growing concerns about the increase in the supply of black gold and the state of the world economy”, signals according to him of an oil context “Anything but encouraging”.

5 million cases in Europe

For Europe alone, the Covid-19 pandemic has already infected more than five million people, and the United Kingdom and France have announced in recent days new measures to restrict the spread of the virus. “Attention is also focused on the resumption of oil supplies from Libya, where shipments are expected to resume”, added Al Stanton of RBC.

The Libyan National Petroleum Company (NOC) announced last weekend the resumption of production and exports of black gold at sites it described as “safe”, the day after the announcement by the strongman from the east of that country, Khalifa Haftar, for the lifting of an eight-month blockade imposed by his forces.

Etats-Unis (12h30 GMT).

    A WALL STREET

    Apple AAPL.O (-4,19%), Salesforce CRM.N (-4,76%), Amazon AMZN.O

Irish airline Ryanair announced on Wednesday that it plans to open a new French base in Beauvais, in the Oise, from December, despite the novel coronavirus pandemic and the drop in traffic.

«We are delighted to announce an investment of $ 200 million for Ryanair’s fourth French base at Paris-Beauvais airport. This development will create more than 2,300 direct and indirect jobs», Assures Jason McGuinness, commercial director of Ryanair. Ryanair already has bases in Marseille, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

Jason McGuinness adds that Paris-Beauvais airport continues to offer “competitive airport charges, which is a way to increase traffic and open new lines for Ryanair’s fourth French base“. The new base will allow Ryanair to connect the Paris region to 13 European countries.

Reduction of thefts

The company “low cost»Announced last week to further reduce its flights for October, the month during which it will run at 40% of its capacity because of the impact on demand of travel restrictions decided by governments to stem the pandemic.

Local and partial lockdowns have started in areas in Spain or the UK, and English Prime Minister Boris Johnson presented restrictive measures on Tuesday. Pubs and restaurants must close at 10 p.m., and teleworking is again encouraged.

Faced with this, “the growing perception of the market is that central banks have already done their utmost and that in the event of a more acute health crisis, it is difficult to see what lever could be used to support economic activity” worry the economists from Saxo Bank.
