Two prominent figures in Boston’s alternative rock scene, Tanya Donelly and Chris Brokaw, are preparing to release a new EP titled The Undone Is Done Again on April 17th, coinciding with Record Store Day. Donelly is known as the frontwoman of Belly, and previously played with Throwing Muses and The Breeders. Brokaw’s musical background includes drumming for Codeine and playing guitar for Come.
A Unique Musical Project
The Undone Is Done Again represents a departure for both artists, reimagining medieval and early music. The EP is characterized by its minimalist instrumentation – featuring only Donelly’s vocals and Brokaw’s guitar, enhanced with reverb – creating a sound described as “gorgeous and haunted.”
