Areas around Boston saw between 12 and 18 inches of snow from Route 495 eastward toward Route 95, with 16 to 24 inches falling from Boston down to Providence. Some locations experienced even higher accumulations.
Storm to Subside, But Winds Remain
Snowfall is expected to subside throughout the afternoon. Around Boston, snowfall should cease within an hour or two of 7 p.m., with most accumulation complete by 5 p.m. An additional one to three inches of snow is possible east of Route 495 as of 2 p.m.
While the heaviest wind gusts have passed, strong gusts are still possible into the early evening. Those on Cape and the Islands will experience the strongest winds for the longest duration.

Logan Airport reported 14.4 inches of snow as of 1 p.m., with additional snowfall expected. Strong wind gusts were recorded across the region, including 77 mph in Wellfleet and 83 mph in Nantucket. Closer to Boston, Hull experienced a 70 mph gust, and Logan Airport recorded 68 mph.
