Trinity Beth, a Kentucky native with a decorated junior golf career, is making an immediate impact as a freshman on the University of Georgia women’s golf team.
A Champion’s Transition
Beth, from Calvert City, Kentucky, graduated early and joined the Bulldogs in January. She was a four-time Kentucky “Miss Golf” and won back-to-back state championships in 2022 and 2023. Before joining the team, she won the 2025 Granny Junior Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee, shooting 6-under par over three rounds.
Despite joining the team mid-year, Beth has quickly adjusted, both academically and athletically. She shares a living space with three teammates, fostering a close bond within the team.
Early Success at Georgia
In her first three tournaments with Georgia, Beth has shot under par in seven of nine rounds, totaling 3-under par with an eagle and 29 birdies. She earned one SEC Freshman of the Week honor. Her best finish to date is ninth place at the Daris Rucker Intercollegiate.
Georgia head coach Erika Brennan noted Beth’s immediate impact, stating, “It’s like nobody told her she’s a freshman.” Brennan also highlighted Beth’s work ethic and ability to integrate into the team culture.
Team Dynamics
While Beth is yet to win a collegiate event, teammates Sydney Givens and Maria Garcia have each secured individual victories for the Bulldogs. Givens leads the team with 10 par-or-better rounds, followed by Karoline Tuttle with eight, and Beth with seven.
Looking Ahead
The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to compete next at the Briars Creek Invitational in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, on Monday. It’s possible Beth will continue her strong performance and contend for a top finish. She could also earn additional SEC Freshman of the Week honors as the season progresses. The team may also continue to build on its success, potentially challenging for a team championship.
