The University of Northern Iowa men’s golf team is heading to Boulder Creek, Nevada, to compete in the Jackrabbit Invitational this week.
Tournament Details
The tournament, hosted by South Dakota State, will be held on a 7,300-yard, par-72 course. Play begins Monday morning with a 36-hole shotgun start at 8:00 am, followed by an 18-hole round on Tuesday, also beginning at 8:00 am. UNI will be competing against a field of ten teams: South Dakota State, Western Illinois, North Dakota, Southern Utah, Youngstown State, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (AZ), Morehead State, Missouri State, IU-Indianapolis, and Kansas City University.
UNI previously competed at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California, where Calen Bishop tied for 52nd place with a score of 219 (+3). Tanner Dinnebier tied for 63rd place, while Nile Petersen, freshman Anthony Galvin, and Cooper Hanson finished 110th, 116th, and 120th respectively.
Last season, UNI finished third at the Jackrabbit Invitational with a team score of 891. Tanner Dinnebier led the Panthers, finishing 24th overall with a score of 230 (+14).
