Utah State Golf at Bell Bank Pay It Forward Collegiate – March 23-24

PEORIA, Arizona – The Utah State University men’s golf team is set to compete in the Minnesota-hosted Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate tournament on Monday and Tuesday, March 23-24. The tournament will be held on the Gold Course at the Wigwam Golf Club, a par-72 course spanning 7,345 yards.

The competition will consist of 36 holes played on Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (MT), followed by 18 holes on Tuesday with a 9 a.m. (MT) shotgun start. Live scoring updates will be available at scoreboard.clippd.com.

The 17-team field includes Arkansas State, Bethel, Denver, Drake, Iowa State, Kansas City, Marquette, Maryland, Nebraska, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Oral Roberts, St. Thomas, UT-San Antonio, Wisconsin and the host team, Minnesota.

This tournament follows Utah State’s performance at the Watney Invitational, held March 2-3, where the Aggies finished 14th with a total score of 51-over 903 (308-297-298). Chase Goetschel led the team, tying for 31st place at 7-over 220 (71-74-75).

Currently, Goetschel leads the Aggies with a stroke average of 73.11 over 18 rounds. Moody follows closely with an average of 73.56 over 18 rounds, while Cantu has a stroke average of 74.33 over 12 rounds. Heider has played 18 rounds with an average of 75.06, and Hall will be competing in his second tournament of the year, currently holding a stroke average of 77.00 over three rounds.
