RICHARDSON, Texas – The UT Dallas softball team suffered a pair of losses to Texas A&M International on Sunday, falling 8-0 in five innings and 11-7 in the second game of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader. The Dustdevils now hold a record of 8-21 overall and 4-12 in conference play, while the Comets are 5-11 overall and 3-9 in the LSC.

Game One

Texas A&M International outhit UT Dallas 8-4 in the first game. The Dustdevils broke a scoreless tie with seven runs in the fourth inning, and Victoria Espinoza added a solo home run in the fifth to finalize the score at 8-0. Nevaeh Herrera earned the win for TAMIU, allowing four hits and two walks while recording two strikeouts.

UT Dallas in Game One

Senior second baseman Claire Pollack went 2-for-3 for the Comets. Cadence Hernandez recorded a double and a walk, and Julia Maniscalco also hit a double.

Brooke Bouldin was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a double, and an RBI. McKenna Holm had three hits, including a double, two runs, and a run batted in. Claire Pollack posted two hits – one a triple – and a run scored. Blair Collier, Chloe Grimmer, and Sophia Martinez each doubled, and Megan DeWitt recorded her first collegiate hit.

Dustdevils in Game Two

Queenandra Dunn was 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored. Marriage went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored, and Espinoza was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Sessy Moreno singled, walked twice, scored twice, and had a stolen base. Kylie Goad earned the win, allowing three walks, 15 hits, and seven runs with three strikeouts.
