The When We Were Young Festival will not take place in 2026, organizers have confirmed. The festival, which began in 2022, has been held annually in October at Las Vegas’ Festival Grounds.
A Pause for Planning
According to a statement posted to Instagram, the decision to take 2026 off is intended to allow organizers to ensure future events are as impactful as those past. The festival is currently scheduled to return to Las Vegas in October 2027.
The 2024 iteration of the festival featured a unique curation approach, with many artists performing entire albums live over two days. Albums performed included My Chemical Romance’s ‘The Black Parade’, Jimmy Eat World’s ‘Bleed American’, A Day To Remember’s ‘Homesick’, and Dashboard Confessional’s ‘Dusk And Summer’.
Last year’s festival included reunions from Panic! At The Disco, letlive., Never Shout Never, Jack’s Mannequin, The Cab, and The Gaslight Anthem. The lineup also featured All Time Low, Yellowcard, The Used, Simple Plan, Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade, and The Story So Far, as well as Alexisonfire, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White, and others.
This announcement follows a similar decision regarding the Sick New World festival, which cancelled its 2025 event after announcing its lineup. Sick New World is currently scheduled to return in 2026 with events in Las Vegas and at the Texas Motor Speedway.
