Whitehorse began his successful Championship Sunday with a season-high score of 91.60 on Freightliner Fever in Round 3, earning him the first pick in the Championship Round bull draft. He then secured his win with a score of 90.75 aboard Lights Out. “I dreamt of this moment my entire life and now we’re on track for a gold buckle. This is a great steppingstone,” Whitehorse said following his victory.
The 28-year-traditional’s performance earned him 191 UTB points, significantly improving his position in the world title race, moving him from No. 20 to No. 9.
Other Top Performers
Claudio Montanha Jr. Of Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil, finished in second place with a season-best performance, going 3-for-3 on Sunday and scoring 90.20 points on Bowser. This performance propelled him from No. 29 to No. 18 in the rankings.
Bob Mitchell of Steelville, Missouri, was the only other rider to go 4-for-4 in Albuquerque, finishing third overall. Brady Fielder of Clermont, Australia, finished fourth, marking his fourth Top 4 placement of the season.
