Family members opened the casket and pulled her out. Witnesses reported that she was able to open her eyes, though she remained extremely weak and could not eat or drink. Her survival proved short-lived. The family received notification of her death the very next day.

The precise cause of death remains unconfirmed. Local media reports noted that doctors had previously halted her cancer treatments after classifying her illness as incurable.
