RIT Wrestling Splits at John Carroll Duals: Harkless and Lamson Lead the Charge
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH – The RIT wrestling team faced a challenging day at the John Carroll Duals on Friday, emerging with a 1-1 record. A 22-18 victory over Mount Union was followed by a close 26-18 loss to host John Carroll. Senior Josh Harkless and sophomore Jack Lamson proved to be bright spots for the Tigers, both going undefeated on the day with 2-0 records.
Harkless and Lamson Dominate
Josh Harkless, ranked No. 3 at 285 lb., continued his impressive form, securing crucial wins for RIT. Against Mount Union, Harkless pinned Kamron Cargill in just one minute. He followed that up with a pin of Jacob Holtz at 2:41 against John Carroll. Lamson also delivered strong performances, defeating Jake Starkey of Mount Union 9-6 and Aiden Ashburn of John Carroll in a sudden victory 4-1.
