Zendaya attended Tuesday night’s premiere of “The Drama” wearing the same Vivienne Westwood gown she first wore to the 2015 Oscars.
A Nod to Tradition
The actor explained her choice was inspired by the Victorian-era saying, “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Zendaya shared with Variety that she and her stylist, Law Roach, brainstormed ways to theme her glance for the premiere and she “thought I’d bring it back.”
“The Drama,” directed by Kristoffer Borgli, stars Zendaya as Emma Hardwood, a bookstore employee, and Robert Pattinson as Charlie Thompson, a British museum director. The film centers on a couple whose relationship unravels in the days leading up to their wedding. A24 announced the characters through a fictional engagement announcement in the Boston Globe.
Borgli previously collaborated with A24 on the 2023 film “Dream Scenario” featuring Nicolas Cage. His other films include “Drib” (2017) and “Sick of Myself” (2022).
