19 TNI AD and AU Officers Promoted to Star Lieutenant in Early 2025

Breaking News: Indonesian Armed Forces Chief Promotes 19 High-Ranking Officers

JAKARTA – In a significant move, Chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), officers/” title=”TNI Chief Mutates 63 High-Ranking Officers”>General Agus Subiyanto, has promoted 19 high-ranking officers, comprising 15 from the Army (Angkatan Darat, AD) and 4 from the Air Force (Angkatan Udara, AU). The promotions, announced in TNI Chief’s Decree Number Kep/7/I/2025 dated January 3, 2025, also come with a one-level higher rank for the recipients.

The promoted Army officers will henceforth hold the rank of Brigadier General (Brigjen) TNI, a step up from their current Colonel (Kolonel) rank. Meanwhile, the Air Force officers will become Marshal (Marsma) TNI.

According to the Chief of the TNI Public Relations Division, Major General Hariyanto, this rotation and assignment includes 101 high-ranking officers – 62 from the Army, 8 from the Navy, and 31 from the Air Force.

The promoted officers and their new roles include:

  1. Colonel Infantry Adrian Susanto, previously serving at the Army Strategic Reserves Headquarters (Denmabesad), has been promoted to lead the 064/MY (Serang) Regional Military Command (Kodam III/Sliw).
  2. Colonel Infantry Nugroho Imam Santoso, also from Denmabesad, has been promoted to lead the 051/Wkt (Jakarta Timur) Regional Military Command (Kodam Jaya), replacing Brigadier General TNI Riyanto.
  3. Colonel Corps of Military Doctors Achmad Jadi Didy Surachman, formerly serving at the Army Medical Personnel and Professors Division, has been promoted to serve as the Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Army Medical School (Unhan), replacing Brigadier General TNI Amin Ibrizatun.
