In a startling revelation, the police have exposed the financial circulations totaling Rp 2 billion behind the case of a deceased PPDS Anestesi student at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The case, involving allegations of ‘pemerasan’ or exploitation, has sent shockwaves through the academic institution and the broader community.
The investigation uncovered a meticulous record detailing the Rp 2 billion cash flow – all deriving from the alleged exploitation of juniors within the PPDS Anestesi program over a single semester. Police have seized Rp 97 million as evidence in the case.
"The cash flow we’ve traced, totalling around Rp 2 billion in a single semester, is significant," explained Director of Criminal Investigation, Kombes Dwi Subagio, Polda Jawa Tengah, as cited by detikJateng.
The successful police operation was conducted with the full cooperation of Undip and RS Kariadi, supported by the Ministry of Health. The suspects named thus far include TE, the program director of PPDS Anestesiologi and Terapi Intensif FK Undip, SM serving as the head of the medical staff at the Prodi Anestesiologi, and Z, a senior student in the same program.
While the suspects remain at large, police intend to summon them as suspects in the early days of January 2025.
