In a solemn ceremony, the Resimen Induk Daerah Militer (Rindam) IX/Udayana in Tabanan, Bali, witnessed the graduation of 218 young officers from the TNI Angkatan Darat (AD) Basic Training Batch of 2024. After 15 weeks of rigorous training, the new bintara (officers) emerged ready to take on the responsibilities of defending the country’s unity and integrity.

Mayjen Muhammad Zamroni, the Panglima Daerah Militer (Pangdam) IX/Udayana, expressed his pride in the graduates. He noted that they would now proceed to specific military branches for further training, including infantry, cavalry, artillery, and engineering, for the next 1.5 months. Zamroni emphasized that these new officers have received a solid foundation in military education and are prepared to make personal sacrifices for their nation.

"The most important thing is to keep upgrading your professional skills. Become a true soldier, one who is prepared, disciplined, and courageous," Zamroni advised the graduates. He believes that these young officers are equipped with the intellectual capabilities, intelligence, and personalities befitting soldiers, continuing the legacy of the Indonesian military.

Zamroni further expressed his hopes for the newly minted officers. "I hope that they can continue to guard the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia and that they can uphold the values of professionalism, people’s soldiering, and being a true fighter," he said.

In a separate address, Zamroni stressed the importance of upholding the integrity of the recruitment process for future bintara. "Every recruitment is free of charge. If we find out someone paid and passed, we’ll scratch them off the list. We’re confident in their capabilities," he stated clearly.

The Pangdam IX/Udayana reminded the public that all information regarding recruitment can be found on the official Kodam IX/Udayana website. He warned against individuals making false promises to secure recruitment for a fee, urging anyone encountering such tactics to report them accordingly.

The graduation of these 218 bintara marks a significant moment for the Indonesian military, as these fresh officers prepare to take their places across the country, representing the best of Bali and Udayana’s commitment to national defense.
