3 Brampton residents charged in drug trafficking probe

Three residents of Brampton, Ontario, are facing charges following a police raid that allegedly uncovered drugs and firearms. The arrests are the result of an investigation that began last month.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Caledon Detachment’s Community Street Crime Unit initiated the drug trafficking investigation. A search warrant was then executed at a residence in Brampton with assistance from the Caledon Major Crime Unit, the OPP Central Region Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Canada Border Services Agency.

Kushdeep Kaur, 25, of Brampton, has been charged with two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition. Balpreet Kaur, 26, and Arun Kumar, 20, both of Brampton, each face one count of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
