Ten Titles Head to Xbox Game Pass in October 2026
Ten games are confirmed to join Xbox Game Pass throughout October 2026, led by Gears of War: E-Day launching on October 6. While Microsoft has kept specific service announcements quiet over the first couple of weeks of the month, scheduling details outline a packed release calendar for subscribers across Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Gears of War: E-Day Leads the October Lineup
The headline release for the month is Gears of War: E-Day, launching on October 6, 2026. Microsoft confirmed the title has gone gold, with pre-installation opening on September 29. Premium Edition owners gained early access on October 1, while standard Game Pass members receive access on launch day. Set 14 years before the original game, the campaign follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde first emerges during Emergence Day. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the release also features a reimagined Horde Siege PvE mode and a refined Versus PvP multiplayer.
Echo Weaver and Neon Abyss 2 Arrive on October 8
Two additional day-one titles land on October 8, 2026. Echo Weaver brings a knowledge-based Metroidvania framework built around an unraveling time loop, with a free demo already available on the Xbox Store. Releasing alongside it is Neon Abyss 2, a cybermyth roguelike shooter supporting up to four-player online co-op, unlimited item synergies, and expanded combat styles following a “Very Positive” PC early access run on Steam.
