Florida State Secures Commitment from Four-Star Prospect Meshi Dobson
Florida State has landed a commitment from Weston (Fla.) Cypress Bay edge rusher Meshi Dobson, who announced his decision to join the Seminoles on social media. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect, formerly a member of the 2028 recruiting class, is reclassifying to the 2027 cycle. Dobson chose Florida State over more than 30 other scholarship offers, including top contenders Syracuse and Miami.

“It was a good experience being able to reclassify and commit to a very good team,” Dobson stated. The transition aligns him with his former Cypress Bay teammate, four-star athlete Za’Kari Johnson, who also recently reclassified to the 2027 class to join the Seminoles.
