Tragic Road Accident in Ethiopia Claims Over 60 Lives

Local authorities in Ethiopia have confirmed that over 60 people have lost their lives in a devastating road accident in the country’s south. The tragic incident occurred in Bona Zuria, approximately 300 kilometers south of the capital, Addis Abeba.
The regional health authorities of Sidama took to Facebook to announce the grim toll on Sunday, revealing that four injured passengers are currently undergoing medical treatment at local hospitals. The cause of the accident, which involved a vehicle according to AFP, remains unconfirmed as of now.
Graphic images shared by the health authorities depict a horrifying scene, with a crowded vehicle partially submerged in water. Several bystanders can be seen attempting to rescue the vehicle from the water, while other images show motionless bodies lying on the ground, covered in blue sheets.
