According to Kazakhstan’s national road infrastructure operator, "Kazavtожол," a series of collisions occurred on the highway between the villages of Kогам and Karaatal in Birzhan district, with no fatalities reported. Two individuals were rushed to the hospital following the incident.
In an updated tweet, Ukrainian news agency ГЛАВКОМ (@GLAVCOM_UA) shared, "Around 95 cars were involved in a pile-up in Kazakhstan due to heavy fog – some were even piled up on top of each other. No information on casualties yet."

Emergency services, including police and rescue teams, swiftly arrived on the scene to manage the chaos. They worked tirelessly to clear the road and ensure the safety of remaining motorists. "Violations of speed limits and safe following distances led to a mass crash involving around 95 cars at 16:28 (13:28 GMT) on the 153rd kilometer of the road," explained a spokesperson from "Kazavtожol." One lane has since been opened, allowing functional vehicles to continue their journey.
