An immediate response team from the Dobrich Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior (MVD) was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, a medical crew from the Emergency Medical Assistance Center confirmed the man’s death, who was later identified as a local resident.

Additional investigation by the First District Police Department revealed no signs of foul play. However, eight empty refill cans of "Heavenly Breeze" air freshener and over 0.4 grams of a crystalline substance, reactive to metamphetamine tests, were seized as material evidence.
