President Prabowo Postpones Bilateral Meeting Due to Fever

In a surprise turn of events, Indonesian opposition leader and businessman Prabowo Subianto has had to postpone a crucial bilateral meeting with an unnamed world leader due to an onset of fever. The unexpected health issue occurred just as President Prabowo was preparing to embark on an official visit to a popular Southeast Asian holiday destination.

According to a statement issued by his vice-presidential candidate and coalition partner, Anwar Ibrahim, Prabowo developed a fever in the late hours of the day prior to his scheduled meeting. Anwar expressed his disappointment but understanding towards the situation, highlighting the importance of Prabowo’s recovery and well-being above all else.

"We were set to welcome our dear friend and President, Prabowo Subianto, to our seaside retreat in Langkawi today," said Anwar on his social media platform, X. "Unfortunately, he asked for the meeting to be delayed for a few days as he was unwell with a fever."

Anwar wished Prabowo a speedy recovery and expressed hope that the leaders would soon reschedule their crucial summit. The vice-presidential candidate’s concern was echoed in his closing statement, "We are hoping that President Prabowo makes a swift recovery and that we can continue our discussions in the near future."
