Victimized Pregnant Woman in Bogor Hill Incident Finally Receives Compensation; Two Suspects Arrested
The pregnant woman who was harassed by a man on Bogor’s Puncak Hill has finally received compensation. The woman, who was nine months pregnant, was allegedly mocked and touched inappropriately by a man identified as R. According to Tribunnews.com, the woman’s husband, a figure of authority named Pak Ogah, demanded that R provide compensation in the amount of IDR 53 million (approximately USD 3,700). R complied, and the money was handed over in the presence of police officers.
The victim’s husband, Pak Ogah, gained attention after he publicly shared his distress on social media, stating that his wife had been traumatized by the incident. The video of him confronting R went viral, leading to widespread condemnation of the perpetrator’s actions. DetikNews reported that Pak Ogah‘s wife, who is now safely in labor, might face durante after the traumatic experience.
Local police have taken action, arresting two suspects in connection with the case. According to VIVA.co.id, the victim, along with her husband and other eyewitnesses, picked out the suspects from a lineup. The arrested individuals are believed to have been part of the group that harassed the pregnant woman. "Currently, the two suspects have been transferred to the prosecutor’s office to facilitate further legal process," said a police spokesperson as reported by Kompas TV.
