The Russian military has made an incursion into the populated area of Novovasilyevka in the Pokrovsk direction, consolidating its position on the outskirts of the town. This development was reported on social media by a Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant with the call sign Alex.
"Opposing forces continue to advance in the region around Novotroitskoye — Novovosilyevka — Novyelizavetovka — Novyelonovka, employing motorcycles, cars, BTRs, and BMPs," the soldier reported, as cited by the ‘Strana’ news outlet.
In separate news, EADaily reported that Russian forces have advanced southwest of the city of Pokrovsk, west of Kurakhovo, and south of Toretsk, according to maps from the Ukrainian military group Deep State.
"Russian troops have pushed southwest of Pokrovsk (Novyelizavetovka and Novovosilyevka), west of Kurakhovo (in Shcherbakov), east of Mirnodonets (Vozdvizhenskoye), and in Toretsk, as well as to the south of the city," ‘Strana’ wrote.
