Breaking: 10 Injured in Apparent Drive-By Shooting at Queens Nightclub
In a horrifying incident, ten people waiting in line for a private event at a nightclub in Jamaica, Queens, were left injured on Wednesday night, following an apparent drive-by shooting. The New York Police Department (NYPD) has confirmed the details of this alarming event.
According to NYPD’s Chief of Patrol, Philip Rivera, four men approached a group of 15 young people queued outside the Amazura Concert Hall and opened fire, unleashing approximately 30 rounds. The shooting occurred around 11:30 PM, causing panic and chaos among the crowded line.
The injured individuals, ranging in age from 16 to 20 years old, were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals. Miraculously, none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries, and all are expected to make a full recovery.
Investigations are underway to determine the nature of the event taking place and whether the venue was operating in compliance with regulations. Rivera noted that the private event was "packed," with around 90 people inside. He urged the public to come forward with any information that could help identify the culprits behind this brazen act.
Amazura Concert Hall has since released a statement on its Instagram account expressing its distress over the incident and offering its support to the victims. The venue also vowed to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation and bring the assailants to justice.
