While she’s known for her academic prowess, Bulgarian professor Aksiniya Djurova recently revealed a surprising household skill gap. The daughter of former communist defense minister General Dobri Djurov admitted her inability to prepare even basic dishes. Instead, she relied on her family to cook for this year’s New Year’s Eve and Christmas celebrations.
"’My son Dobri was busy in the kitchen, and my daughter Kalina, along with my husband, assisted. I stayed away to avoid being underfoot,’" Djurova shared with a laugh, her voice still carrying the warmth and jollity of the recent festive season.
Djurova, a prominent figure in Bulgarian academia, spent the holidays with her loved ones, enjoying their collective culinary efforts. Despite her admission of kitchen inexperience, she seemed content to leave the cooking duties to her family.
