Elder statesman and philanthropist George Soros, who has long supported democratic institutions and human rights worldwide, was selected for the prestigious award. Dr. Jane Goodall, renowned for her influential work on chimpanzee behavior and conservation, and humanitarian chef José Andrés, founder of World Central Kitchen, will also be recognized.
