Radical Party in Argentina Introduces Bill to Welcome Edmundo González Urrutia
BLOCK OF UNION CIVIC RADICAL PARTY (UCR) DIPUTIES PRESENT PROJECT TO APPROVE VISIT OF VENEZUELAN LEADER’S DESIGNATED SUCCESSOR
On Saturday, Buenos Aires time, the UCR deputies’ bloc submitted a proposal to declare its satisfaction with the impending arrival of Edmundo González Urrutia, heir apparent to Venezuela’s opposition leader. Karina Banfi, the bloc’s vice-president, announced the move on her X account, "From the UCR Deputies’ Bloc, we’ve presented a bill to welcome him as president-elect, preceding his January 10th inauguration as Venezuela’s president."
Leading the initiative is Rodrigo De Loredo, the bloc’s chair, with support from Julio Cobos, Soledad Carrizo, Pamela Verasay, Fabio Quetglas, Atilio Benedetti, Francisco Monti, Gerardo Cipolini, and Roberto Sánchez.
