Breaking News: Russia Strikes in Zaporizhzhia; Dozens Injured, Buildings Destroyed
Today, at least 13 people were killed and numerous others injured in a Russian airstrike on the city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. According to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov, around 30 people have been hospitalized following the incident. Emergency services, including seven medical teams, police, and rescuers, are currently working at the scene.
Fedorov reported that the attack targeted Zaporizhzhia’s industrial infrastructure. The strike was carried out using a guided air bomb, causing extensive damage to the city’s structures. Images and videos shared by Fedorov show a minibus, a tram, and a high-rise building struck by the blast, with a fire breaking out in the building. The pictures also depict people lying on the street.
The attack has raised concerns about the escalating conflict in Ukraine and the potential use of more destructive weapons. As the situation continues to unfold, many are questioning the likelihood of Russia employing nuclear weapons in the crisis.
