Brace yourselves, Bulgaria! Meteo Bulgaria has issued a forecast for January 10 (Friday), warning of an approaching cold front and a significant shift in weather conditions. Here’s what you can expect:
Overnight into Friday:
-Quiet conditions with fog and significantly lower (near-zero/negative) minimum temperatures in plains and valleys.
-A light to moderate south-southwesterly wind will blow across the rest of the country, keeping temperatures high, particularly near the coast and in some parts of the foothills (Vratsa).
-Cloud cover will increase in the extreme west and northwest, while central and eastern regions remain clear.
Friday Daytime:
-Sunny weather prevails in the eastern and southeastern regions, but the northwest half becomes increasingly cloudy and intense, with rain likely in the afternoon.
-The southwesterly wind will switch to northwesterly and strengthen, particularly in Northern Bulgaria and Sliwen, ushering in cold air. Before that, enjoy spring-like temperatures of 17-19°C. As always, expect lower maxima in areas with persistent temperature inversions.
