Re-Entry Services
Two Correctional Re-entry Coordinators, who likewise serve as Social Workers, are available to all incarcerated people within Nevada County facilities. These coordinators explain the benefits of Medi-Cal and, with the individual’s consent, facilitate applications.
Meetings with Department of Social Services eligibility workers are coordinated by the CRC and conducted virtually using “CalAIM tablets.” These meetings provide detailed information about State and County sponsored programs, including CalFresh, General Assistance, CalWORKs, and the Emergency Relief program.
