Health New Zealand’s National Public Health Service is actively working to trace potential exposure sites after identifying the Palmerston North case. Public health medicine specialist Dr Sharon Sime stated that officials are investigating infection sources between July 4 and 18. “We are concerned that there could be more cases in the community that we are not yet aware of,” Sime said, urging anyone who visited Wellington over the weekend of July 11 to 12 to monitor their health closely.
