UIndy Men’s Golf Finishes 20th at Las Vegas Desert Classic

The University of Indianapolis men’s golf team recently concluded competition at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, held at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The Greyhounds finished in 20th place among a field that included 10 nationally ranked programs, placing just behind 16th-ranked Central Missouri.

Senior Jackson Watkins led the UIndy team, achieving the highest individual finish for the second consecutive weekend. He tied for 76th place with a total score of +13 over three rounds, including a one-over round on Tuesday.

Alexander Nestun, returning to competition after the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin, matched Watkins’ result with a tie for 76th place, following a final round of 75 (+3). Isac Fredriksson and Joseph Armfield both tied for 95th place at +18, while Drew Rowen completed the lineup with a score of +26, including a round of 78 (+6) on the second day.
