The Traitors New Blood Reveals 22 Civilian Contestants for Season 1

NBC has officially unveiled the complete cast for the first-ever all-civilian season of The Traitors: New Blood, marking a major shift for the U.S. version of the reality franchise. While previous iterations and the mothership series relied heavily on public figures, socialites, and celebrities, the upcoming season will feature 22 everyday Americans competing for a cash prize worth up to $250,000.

The 22 competitors were hand-selected following a nationwide search that drew more than 80,000 applicants, according to a press release issued by broadwayworld.com. Emmy-winning host Alan Cumming will return to welcome the contestants into his mysterious castle situated deep in the Scottish Highlands.

Inside the Gameplay and Scottish Highlands Setting

Set inside the Scottish Highlands castle, the psychological competition tasks contestants with working together on a series of missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden among the group of Faithful players are secret Traitors who work under the cover of darkness to eliminate the Faithful one by one. Meanwhile, the Faithful must race to uncover and banish the murderers before the game concludes.

If any Traitor manages to survive until the end of the game, they take home the entire prize fund. However, if the remaining Faithful successfully banish every Traitor, they will share the prize money. Along with the player announcements, the network revealed each contestant’s mischievous headshot, teasing portraits that will hang in the breakfast room until the individuals are either murdered or banished and discarded by Cumming.

Diverse Cast of Everyday Americans Takes on the Castle

The fresh roster of newbies spans various ages—ranging from 23 years old up to 65—and backgrounds from all corners of the United States. The eclectic mix of professions represented among the group includes a dog groomer, a barrel racer, a funeral director, a cowboy from Texas, a doctor from Oklahoma, a lawyer from New York City, a former NFL cheerleader from Mississippi, and a Major League Baseball analyst.

The complete lineup of the 22 contestants heading to the castle includes:

* Abbey Benjamin (Mangham, Louisiana) * Abby Lee (Saint Paul, Minnesota) * Arisa Thomas (Los Angeles, California) * Ben McDonnell (Granbury, Texas) * Clyde Moser (Charleston, South Carolina) * Jay Vinnedge (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) * Joe Vanella (Wantagh, New York) * Katie Fites (Jacksonville, Florida) * Kim Daily (Houston, Texas) * Kriste Lewis (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) * Logan Smith (Gatlinburg, Tennessee) * Madeline Kostopulos (San Diego, California) * Mark Zgoda (Phillipsburg, New Jersey) * Michael Foote (New York, New York) * Morgan Cook (Midland, Michigan) * Niyyah Hayes (Indianapolis, Indiana) * Shane Beatty (Staten Island, New York) * Sherry Kuehl (Leawood, Kansas) * Tomica Adams (Boston, Massachusetts) * Victor Vollbrechthausen (New York, New York) * Wyatt Gillespie (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) * Xavier Scruggs (Wesley Chapel, Florida)
