Disney Dreamlight Valley additions bring nostalgic pop culture icons and long-awaited characters to the cozy life-simulation game, according to announcements made by developers at D23. Players can expect Lizzie McGuire and Hannah Montana avatar styles, Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Lilo from Lilo & Stitch across upcoming updates.
Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire Collection Arrival
Community manager Courtney Shannon-Caines, game director Joshua Labelle, lead narrative designer Riley Wignall, and Disney and Pixar games team producer Alexis McMullen announced that a brand-new Premium Shop collection inspired by Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire is launching for Disney Dreamlight Valley players. The collection gives players the chance to style their avatars in superstar-inspired outfits starting August 19.
Oogie Boogie Halloween Event Debut
Announcements at the D23 panel revealed that Oogie Boogie from Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas will make his debut in September as part of a brand-new Halloween event. Ahead of the spooky holiday, players can also look forward to weekly quests, seasonal festivities, and themed rewards in the lead-up to Halloween.
Lilo & Stitch Reunion in December
In December, the final free update of the year will welcome Lilo from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, according to the game development team. This addition allows players to finally experience her long-awaited reunion with Stitch inside the Valley.
Recent Expansions and Valley Updates
The upcoming character drops follow recent major additions to the platform, including the Honeyglow Woods adventure pack. Players can uncover enchanting new locations inspired by the world of Winnie the Pooh within Honeyglow Woods, with each area offering unique stories, secrets, and atmospheres, such as encouraging Piglet to find courage, helping Eeyore search for his missing tail, and playing hide-and-seek with Pooh.
Another recent expansion, Pixel Perfect, integrated both Disney and Pixar stories into the game. Ralph from Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph was added to the Valley just last month, expanding the roster of recognizable faces available to interact with.
