Promotional sessions organized during the tour generated over 370 business-matching meetings, according to government reports. These sessions yielded agreements involving government bodies, industrial sectors, and enterprises focusing on trade, conventions and exhibitions, high and new technology, traditional Chinese medicine, Big Health, halal products, and brand marketing.
Tourism and Aviation Development
Tourism officials targeted the development of a Muslim-friendly travel environment and multi-destination itineraries within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, according to the Macau SAR press release. The Macao Government Tourism Office and local industry associations forged partnerships with regional counterparts and electronic payment platforms to roll out consumer incentives.
Addressing aviation matters, Sam pointed out current initiatives aimed at reviving direct air routes between Jakarta and Macau to meet growing travel demand, following visitor numbers from Indonesia that surpassed 200,000 in 2025 alongside upwards of 8,000 Indonesian residents currently employed in the MSAR.
Educational and Cultural Exchanges
Official records show that a total of 16 cooperation pacts were concluded between multiple private entities and three public universities based in Macau, alongside partners located in Malaysia and Singapore. The Education and Youth Development Bureau hosted a “Study in Macau” Education Fair in Kuala Lumpur, while the Cultural Affairs Bureau co-organised an exhibition with the Jakarta Provincial Cultural Service to display Macau’s cultural heritage.
