These builds represented direct upgrades from the versions used during the national-level contest in July. According to Najmi, the students improved the QR code-based robot communication system and developed an automated program to efficiently handle fallen boxes, securing the Best Idea Award for the institution.

For the second accolade, the ITS Richie Team integrated electronic hardware from ROHM Semiconductor, an official event sponsor. ROHM devices comprised 10 percent of the total electronic components utilized across the team’s robots, earning them the ROHM Award.
Beyond the hardware configurations, Najmi noted that the event offered valuable knowledge-sharing sessions. Participants exchanged insights regarding robotics, programming, and mechanics with teams representing various countries.
