Entering what he has confirmed will be his 22nd and final NFL season, the 42-year-old quarterback is looking forward to a quiet exit from the public eye.
Family Plans and the 2026 Horizon
While speaking with Adam Schein on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, Rodgers outlined his timeline for fatherhood. The signal-caller clarified that while he and his wife are not currently expecting, he hopes to embrace parenthood shortly after hanging up his cleats.
“I’m hopefully going to be supporting my pregnant wife because we’re going to start a family and I am not going to be making a lot of appearances or statements. And I’m looking forward to a life of quiet after 22 years in the pros and three in college and getting my body healed up and working on a family. That’s what I’m looking forward to.”

Life as Uncle Aaron and a Reconciled Family
The desire to start a family has been reinforced by recent personal milestones. Rodgers spent part of the summer reconnecting with his parents and older brother after a period of estrangement, a reconciliation that he credited in part to his marriage. Immersing himself in family life has given him a firsthand look at parenting through his brother’s children.
“I mean, being back in my family’s lives, I’m having a lot of fun being Uncle Aaron. I have a few godkids that I’m involved with, but being Uncle Aaron to my brother’s kids has been a lot of fun. And the more I’m around them, the more I get excited, and so does the wife, about having some of our own.”

Rodgers married a woman named Brittani in a private ceremony in the spring of 2025, keeping her identity and personal details out of the spotlight. The couple met back in 2017, and Rodgers has frequently praised her support, calling her the most incredible wife
during training camp last year.
Clearing Out New Jersey and Prepping for the Final Run
As he prepares for his final professional season, Rodgers is also systematically severing ties with his past chapters. Following his departure from the New York Jets, he listed his Montclair-area mansion in New Jersey for $15 million, aiming for a significant return on the $9.5 million he paid for the eight-bedroom property in the summer of 2023.
Though he initially debated retirement following the departure of Mike Tomlin, the hiring of head coach Mike McCarthy—with whom Rodgers previously spent 13 seasons in Green Bay—persuaded him to take the field for one last run.
