Supporters, who referred to themselves as ‘cockroaches’, chanted ‘inquilab’ during the demonstrations. According to founder Abhijeet Dipke, the 37-day protest was “really, really difficult,” with demonstrators holding Pradhan responsible for the NEET paper leak and the suicide of aspirants while pressing for his resignation. Dipke founded the CJP in May as a satirical response to a remark by the Chief Justice of India, though the effort soon escalated into a movement uniting the country’s Gen Z power over 70-odd days.

The demonstrations concluded after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post as education minister and the government accepted other demands from the movement.
