Operations leader Christian Andreassen from the police shared details with VG, highlighting the severity of the collision: "There are major material damages, and there is reason to believe that there was high energy involved in the collision."

Police were alerted to the incident just before 8 PM and swiftly implemented on-site investigations, as well as interviews with witnesses and those involved in the collision. The main thoroughfare connecting the region is expected to remain closed while investigations continue.
