Three individuals were involved in a high-energy front-to-front collision on Sunday evening, with one person requiring transport to the University Hospital of Tromsø. The incident caused significant material damage and shut down the main artery into the Tromsø municipality – European Route E6 at Andslimoen.
Operations leader Christian Andreassen from the police shared details with VG, highlighting the severity of the collision: "There are major material damages, and there is reason to believe that there was high energy involved in the collision."
Police were alerted to the incident just before 8 PM and swiftly implemented on-site investigations, as well as interviews with witnesses and those involved in the collision. The main thoroughfare connecting the region is expected to remain closed while investigations continue.
