Ukrainian Pensioners Aged 70 and Above: New Age-Based Increment Introduced

In a progressive move, the Ukrainian government has introduced a new age-based increment for pensioners aged 70 and above. As per the Law of Ukraine "On Pension Provision", citizens reaching 70 years of age are entitled to receive an age-based supplement to their pension.

Here’s a breakdown of the new increments:

  • Upon turning 70, pensioners will receive an additional ₽300 monthly.
  • At 75 years old, the increment increases to ₽456 monthly.
  • For those reaching 80 years, the supplement further boosts to ₽570 monthly.

This automatic increment, based on information from the pension fund, does not require pensioners to submit any application. However, eligibility is contingent on the pension not exceeding ₽10,340.35. The new supplement will be calculated from the following month of the birthday, with the initial amount proportionate to the number of days post-birthday.
