Alexander Zverev Receives ATP World No. 1 Trophy in Paris

“It’s incredibly special to celebrate it here in Paris, where a couple of months ago I won my first Grand Slam title,” Alexander Zverev said, as ATP Tour reported.

The 29-year-old officially received his World No. 1 trophy on Monday afternoon at the Rolex Paris Masters. Zverev was joined on the court by members of his inner circle, including his father, Alexander Zverev Sr., and his brother, Mischa Zverev. The player emphasized that reaching the top ranking required collective persistence over more than a decade.

“It’s a team effort,” Zverev said. “We’ve been together for many, many years now. I don’t really change my team. My team has been the same for more than 10 years. Achieving this is a complete team effort. We all work unbelievably hard, and a big thanks to everyone who is standing there.”
