Five years after meeting on the set of his show Celebrity IOU Joyride, Renée Zellweger and television presenter Ant Anstead are keeping their romance steady without rushing down the aisle. The couple, who bonded over a shared appreciation for cars, currently split their time between California’s Orange County and an English farmhouse in Hertfordshire.
Ant Anstead Addresses Marriage Rumors and Relationship Labels
Addressing persistent public speculation about their relationship status, Anstead explained that a wedding is not currently on the horizon. Although engagement rumors have previously circulated and been confirmed to be untrue, the TV personality noted that he still values the institution of marriage despite two previous divorces from Louise Herbert (also known as Louise Storey) and Christina Haack. Zellweger was also previously married to country singer Kenny Chesney for four months in 2005.

Anstead noted that working on cars together remains a regular household activity. Beyond automotive hobbies, the couple took charge of restoring an old farmhouse in the UK that Anstead bought for his parents, relying heavily on the actress’s design expertise.

Alongside their time in the UK and building a house for his parents, Anstead is officially going through the green card process to settle in America permanently, stating that he is “fully Americanand uses words likesidewalk.” The TV presenter has two older children from a previous relationship whose older kids went to boarding school in the UK with time in California, as well as a seven-year-old son, Hudson, with Christina Haack, who lives in the U.S.
