The new Naas facility will feature eight Applegreen Fast Charge ultra-fast EV chargers providing a total of 16 charging points, alongside a separate truck stop for heavy goods vehicle (HGV) fueling and a carwash, according to Applegreen. The site represents the company’s second major new service area in Ireland over a 12-month period, following the opening of a €15 million site on the M3 in Dunshaughlin last September. Applegreen currently operates nearly 200 locations across the Irish market.
Retail and Food Partnerships
Initial offerings at the Naas service area will include Popeyes and Taco Bell outlets, M&S Food, Crafted Kitchen & Deli, and a standard Applegreen forecourt and convenience store, according to the retailer. The Popeyes location in Naas will operate as the first Popeyes Drive-Thru in the Republic of Ireland, with an additional Drive-Thru scheduled to open at the site this winter. Applegreen has integrated Taco Bell and Popeyes into its Irish operations in recent months while expanding its partnership with M&S Food, which now reaches 43 Applegreen locations.
